The Bowra Group Inc. was appointed Receiver Manager (the “Receiver”) of Horizon Commercial Development Corp. (the “Company”) on August 23, 2016 pursuant to a Court Order of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. The Company was assigned into Bankruptcy on August 26, 2016. The Bowra Group Inc. was appointed Trustee in Bankruptcy.
The Company owns and operates a residential rental building with 311 rooms over 125 suites. The rental building is located directly North of MacEwan University and was intended to be a student residence.

On September 21, 2017 Orders approving Distributions, Receiver’s fees and disbursements, approval of the Receiver’s activities and discharge of the Receiver were granted by Madam Justice Pentelechuk.

On September 6, 2017, an Application approving distributions, Receiver’s fees and disbursements, approval of the Receiver’s activities and discharge of Receiver was filed in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.
On July 11, 2017 an application to request approval of the Sale and Vesting Order was filed in the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. The Order was granted by the Honorable Madam Justice D.L. Shelley.
